Come Sunday
"Come Sunday is the boundary-pushing exploration of a singer-as-instrumentalist surveying the Ellington scene and leaving her own distinctive imprint in the sands of time. Every jazz musician has at one time or another paid tribute to Duke, each applying their own attitude and style. Cynthia holds her own and stakes her own claim. The 13 tracks of well-known songs comprise a mix of instrumental players and arrangements with tempi ranging from the very lively opener of "It Don't Mean A Thing…" to ruminative ballads like "Lush Life." This Come Sunday collection is a worthy encore or next chapter in Cynthia's musical journey."

Afro Blue
"Afro Blue is a wonderful first outing by Cynthia Felton, a singer who I believe it will ultimately become a household name. For her debut recording she chose to pay tribute to Oscar Brown, Jr., whose work she greatly admires. In addition to being a showcase of her own prodigious talents, the cd features superlative accompanists as Cyrus Chestnut, Robert Hurst, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Ernie Watts, Wallace Roney, Patrice Rushen, Terri Lyne Carrington, and more."
